MEET THE TEAM
Arlésio Coelho
CEO
His curiosity to learn further together with the passion he has for sports in general, easily guided him into finalizing his university degree in Sports Education (1998 – 2002) and a wealth of football coaching expertise, which be easily attested with a number of licenses and certifications, the latest being a UEFA Pro football license.
Arlésio has also been a devoted Physical Education teacher for the past 15 years in a variety of schools in region of the Algarve, in Portugal. While juggling his educational career, Arlésio has also been a football coach for the past 20 years and has recently also been part of the successful coaching staff that took Farense, the region’s biggest football club, back into the Portuguese 2nd League.
Amidst a busy life that is almost entirely devoted to football and sports in general, for the past 10 years, Arlésio has also been involved in coordinating travel and sports arrangements for a vast number of international football training camps in Portugal and Dubai.
His connections to a number of partners and sports people in general are second to none and the involvement he experienced with football in recent years also extended into the organization of tournaments.
Arlésio’s passion for sports and Portugal naturally led him into developing great interest in hosting training camps. Portugal Sports Camps aims therefore, to guide sports professionals and organizations into experiencing some of Europe’s best locations for training camps and sports events in general in a country that offers perfect weather conditions for sports to be enjoyed throughout the year.
Pedro Paulo
COLLABORATOR
Born in Faro on January 21, 2001, he holds a degree in Sports Management from Universidade da Maia – ISMAI. A football referee since 2018, he currently belongs to the C4 CORE category of the Portuguese Football Federation.
He also served as an instructor in the refereeing discipline for the 12th-grade Technical Sports Courses, within the scope of the “Programa 3+”, whose main objective is to attract young people to refereeing and spark their interest in this field.
During his bachelor’s degree, he completed his curricular internship at SC Beira-Mar in 2021, where he performed duties related to the club’s sports, operational, and administrative management, contributing to the functioning of its daily activities.
In October 2024, he began working at Portugal Sports Camps, where he assists in the organization and operational management of sports events, as well as in the administrative area of the company, including accounting tasks.
His journey reflects a strong commitment to sport, a dedication to refereeing, and a desire to contribute to development and innovation in the sports sector.
Iván Gómez Ruiz
FOOTBALL DIRECTOR
Iván Gómez Ruiz is the International Director of Portugal Sports Camps. He leads the international expansion of the brand, strengthening relationships with clubs, academies and sports organisations from various countries.
He is responsible for coordinating international operations, communicating with foreign partners and managing the logistics of teams that choose Portugal as their destination to prepare for seasons, take part in tournaments or develop training programmes. His role requires strong strategic capability, combining global vision, an understanding of each organisation’s specific needs, and a high level of operational rigour.
Under his leadership, Portugal Sports Camps has strengthened its position as a reference partner for clubs and institutions seeking high-quality facilities, favourable weather conditions and a complete, professional service. His contribution has been crucial in promoting Portugal as a preferred destination for international sports development.
Iván’s professional background reflects dedication to sport, strong management skills and a vision focused on quality, innovation and sustainable growth within the sports sector.
Charaf Dinar
ARAB FOOTBALL EXPERT
Charafeddine Dinar Belabbes is a Moroccan football professional with extensive experience in coaching, sports management and international football development projects across Europe and the Middle East.
He currently serves as a political group advisor at the Diputació de Barcelona, while remaining actively involved in the organisation and development of football initiatives and international collaborations. Charafeddine holds a UEFA coaching qualification from the Catalan Football Federation and has built a career that combines coaching, coordination and sports project management.
Throughout his professional journey, he has worked in several international roles, including sports management organiser at Al Ain in the United Arab Emirates, sports interpreter at Al Wehda Club, and director of the RIAD Women’s football project in Saudi Arabia, contributing to the development of football programmes and international cooperation. He also organised the NACR Dubai pre-season programme, supporting the planning and logistics of international team preparation.
In Spain, he has held coordination and leadership roles such as General Coordinator of UD Can Trias and International Director of WSS Barcelona. His experience also includes youth football development as a coach and talent scout for Terrassa FC women’s team, as well as a youth football trainer in local academies in Terrassa. In addition, he is the founder of the Estrellas Zohor project and director of the Pyriness Cup camp, initiatives focused on creating opportunities and international experiences for young players.
Fluent in Arabic, Spanish and French, Charafeddine combines strong intercultural communication skills with deep knowledge of football development, helping to connect clubs, organisations and sports communities across different countries.
Ana Trindade
MARKETING MANAGER
Ana Trindade is the Marketing Manager at Portugal Sports Camps, responsible for developing and implementing the company’s marketing strategy and strengthening the brand’s visibility across international markets.
With a background in Digital Marketing and Project Management, Ana combines strategic thinking with creative communication to promote the organisation’s activities, programmes and international partnerships.
Her work focuses on building strong brand positioning, managing digital channels and creating engaging campaigns that connect clubs, players and sports organisations with Portugal Sports Camps.
She studied at the Universidade Autónoma de Lisboa and has developed expertise in digital marketing strategy, communication and project coordination, allowing her to contribute effectively to the growth and international promotion of the company’s projects.
Through her role, Ana plays a key part in strengthening the company’s presence in the global sports market, ensuring that Portugal Sports Camps continues to expand its network and attract teams and organisations from around the world.
Ruben Cruz
FOOTBALL CAMPS SPECIALIST
Ruben was born in Portimão, in the South of Portugal, in 1993. He was always involved in sport, majorly in football, where he began to grow a passion from the game at an early age.
He spent a substantial amount of his life living abroad, especially in England, where he graduated in 2015 with a degree in Sports Coaching, from Southampton Solent University. He went on to specialise himself in the area of football, starting his first coaching steps in 2013, whilst studying at the same time.
From the very first steps in youth football, Ruben returned to Portugal in 2018, to coach for his hometown club of Portimonense, at the U19 group for a couple of seasons, before making his men’s football in 2022.
His first professional step was when Portimonense called for the U23 team, where he became the assistant coach for 3 seasons, before taking his career overseas, working at KF Gostivar in the Macedonia Premier League, and most recently in the second division of Malta, for Santa Lucia FC.
Ruben brings a wealth of experiences, and knowledge from his time in other countries, having developed himself as a very adaptable person towards the context that he is presented, as well as being able to fluently communicate in Portuguese, Spanish and English.

Portugal Sports Camps is a sports travel agency under the steady and coordinated leadership of Arlésio Coelho. A dedicated man with a passion for anything to do with sports, Arlésio has been involved in sports since a very young age. Arlésio is a former football player (1986 – 2000), whose leadership skills and great attitude saw him being named captain of the team for many years during his youth footballing career.
